Why this course exists

Most AWS courses assume you can code.

But thousands of IT professionals, sysadmins, solutions architects, IT managers, don't. They understand systems. They can design architectures on paper. They've passed the certifications. But when it comes to actually building and deploying working serverless solutions, they hit a wall: the code.

Hiring a developer for every prototype isn't realistic. Learning Python from scratch takes months. And waiting for the dev team to validate every idea slows everything down.

There's a third path. And it's already changing how senior IT professionals work with the cloud.

The method

Build Defend Refactor

Three phases. One loop. You'll run it six times across the course, by the end, it's muscle memory.

Build

Draft Zero

You direct the AI assistant, ChatGPT or Claude, to produce code. Goal: deployed to a real AWS environment in 15 minutes. Draft Zero exists to be challenged, not perfected.

Defend

The Breaker

After every Lab, an AI reviewer (Udemy Role Play) plays the Breaker: scale, cost, security, reliability. You can't bluff, the reviewer finds the weak spot in your draft.

Refactor

Surgical fix

You return to the AI with a focused prompt that addresses the specific gap the Breaker surfaced. One gap, one prompt, one fix. Targeted, not rewriting.

What you'll be able to do

You'll have built and deployed real systems

By the end of this course, you'll know exactly why each piece is there.

  • Architect a multi-service serverless solution, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, by selecting the right service for specific business requirements.

  • Use AI assistants effectively, generate, evaluate, and debug functional cloud code without prior programming experience.

  • Deploy real working applications, iterate through prompt-and-deploy cycles in a live AWS environment on real infrastructure.

  • Evaluate AI-generated code critically, spot security risks, cost issues, and performance problems before they hit production.

  • Defend your designs under pressure, answer rigorous AI reviewers (Udemy Role Play) on scale, cost, security, and reliability in realistic scenarios.

Built for

Is this for you?

Right for you if…

  • You have 3+ years of IT experience (sysadmin, architect, IT manager, ops).
  • You hold the AWS Solutions Architect Associate, or have equivalent hands-on AWS experience.
  • You design systems but struggle to implement them hands-on.
  • You're tired of "AWS for developers" courses that skip your actual problems.
  • You want practical, applicable skills you can demonstrate at work.

Probably not for you if…

  • You're already a confident Python or Node.js developer.
  • You're looking for theoretical cloud architecture content.
  • You want a course that avoids AI entirely.
  • You're new to AWS or only hold the Cloud Practitioner (this course assumes Solutions Architect Associate-level knowledge).

I built this method out of personal necessity. I'm not a traditional developer, I'm a senior IT professional who needed to build working AWS solutions without spending years learning to code. The workflow I teach here is the same one I use myself, every day.

My teaching approach is called "Logic First, Memory Later", understand the why before the how. This course applies it to a new reality: where AI can generate the code, but only you can decide what to build.

Backed by Udemy

This course is funded by the Udemy Content Innovation Fund, a program supporting instructors developing innovative educational content. It's the first English-language course in the AWS Serverless for Non-Coders methodology.

Common questions

FAQ

Do I need to know any programming before starting?

No. The course is designed specifically for IT professionals who don't code. You'll use AI assistants for all code generation, your job is to direct them and evaluate the output.

Which AI assistants does the course use?

ChatGPT, Claude, or any major AI assistant you prefer. The method works across providers, you learn the workflow, not a specific tool.

Do I need an AWS account to follow along?

Some labs run in Udemy Labs where available, with no setup on your side. For the rest, you'll deploy to your own AWS account on real infrastructure. Most exercises fit within the Free Tier, just remember to remove the resources you create when you're done to avoid charges.
